WHAT ARE G&O KERTS MACHINING CAPABILITIES?
We have a wide range of equipment that covers a comprehensive service of machining aspects. From small components in high volume production runs on our bar fed live tooling lathes, up to complex intricate 1 off’s that weigh up to 1 tonne on a 5-axis state of the art multi-tasking machine. We can also offer 4 axis milling on components up to 2.5 tonne and 3m long, combined with a rotary table, on our large mill.

HOW WILL G&O KERT MANAGE OUR QA REQUIREMENTS?
G&O Kert are an ISO 9001:2015 accredited manufacturer. Our QA systems are subject to annual internal audits, annual surveillance audits by SAI Global and triennial recertification by SAI Global. In addition to this we often receive clients who, as part of their procurement due diligence process, perform specific audits on our systems. In most cases our clients outline their QA requirements at the start of the relationship, we tailor our processes and document management to ensure their traceability requirements are met.
DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM BATCH RUN?
In short, no. Batch size is generally relative to customer usage. We often do complex 1 offs for Scientific & Defence R&D clients while also processing orders for thousands of parts for clients in the rail & power generation sectors.
CAN YOU ASSIST WITH DESIGN TOO?
We believe that feedback from manufacturers is important in any design, it helps to incorporate best production practices which improves manufacturing efficiency and reduces cost to produce. On many occasions we have supported designers and R&D companies refine designs that incorporate complex forms and materials.
“I HAVE AN OBSOLETE PART, CAN G&O REVERSE ENGINEER?”
“Reverse Engineering” is a term frowned upon by OEM suppliers, and for good reason. There are, however, occasions where clients have critical assets that are no longer supported by the OEM. In these instances, we can offer support in material/condition identification, drafting & manufacture. As most of our clients are OEM manufacturer’s we approach this service ethically and with the utmost care.
I’M LOOKING FOR A FABRICATOR, CAN YOU HELP?
G&O Kert has fabrication capability, it supports our central service of precision component manufacture at various levels. We can still support you by managing your specific fabrication & QA needs through a network of specialised suppliers that offer a high–end service in ferrous and non-ferrous welding.
HOW WILL G&O KERT MEET MY SPECIFIC MATERIAL REQUIREMENT.
G&O Kert has a network of established & quality assured suppliers. We can access a wide range of materials in commercial formats locally and if required our supply network can organise to indent material that is not ordinarily stocked for the Australian market. We also have trusted suppliers for castings, forgings and exotic material grades. Material certification is managed through our QA system and additional testing can be arranged upon request.
DOES G&O EXPORT?
We have clients offshore but generally supply through Australian based supply chain. We have supplied direct to clients offshore but as our main client relationships are in Australia this is not common. What we do understand is the critical nature of international supply and the need for a reactive, accurate & consistent approach to meeting the needs of the ultimate end user. If you are an international supplier or client feel free to discuss your requirements with us.
DOES G&O OFFER COATING OR HEAT TREATMENT?
G&O Kert’s offers an “inclusive” precision component manufacturing service. This means that specialised processes such as heat treatment, coatings, gear & spline cutting, non-destructive testing (NDT), laser & waterjet cutting, wire cutting & EDM are required as part of the complete manufacturing process. G&O Kert aligns itself with the very best Australian specialists in these specific processes. We are constantly engaging with our suppliers to ensure the supply chain we are part of consists of only the strongest links. Ultimately the buck stops with us.
